While you get to know us, listen to “La Roca”
From the Album: Serve It To Me Hot by Tapas Musica. Track 11.
La Roca was opened on January 14, 1972 by the late Jimmy Wilson. He was a visionary for his time, he was passionate about all the details that were dear and true for him, art, service, good food, friends and family. We strive very hard to maintain that legacy. We believe that in life, one needs a place to create and share memories, a place that reflects a balanced harmony between the past and present, and a space in the day to be in the moment or simply a place that can take you away. We open our doors and welcome you into our home. We hope that when you share a moment with us, you too will carry a sweet memory of La Roca, one that you will remember for a life time. Bienvenido!
The original building, Casa Margot, was built in the late 1800’s and served principally as a boarding house. The building was later remodeled and La Roca opened its doors in 1972. Nestled into a natural cliff face, the restaurant is named after the natural stone that frames its main dining room. Constructed primarily of stone and concrete, the simple yet quiet elegant design fills you with the beauty of an old Mexican hacienda.
The main dining room featuring a natural cave face wall, bright cobalt blue columns, and fantastic second story views of the courtyard. Many nights this space hosts live music by mariachis, performances by local bands and dancing.
This room intimately seats twelve guests in a cozy secluded area featuring colorful stone walls and art.
